Gaming Mouse OTA Guide

This guide will go over the step by step instructions on how to properly update your Nightfall or Midnight Wireless gaming mouse.

 

Begin by making sure you have the latest version of The Lab app downloaded here.

 

• To connect your mouse with The lab app, you will need to use the 2.4GHz LabSpeed dongle.
  • This will allow you to access all pages of The Lab app.
• Navigate to the Update tab at the bottom of the right menu.
  • Your current mouse version will be compared against the latest to determine if you need an update.
• JLab Nightfall and Midnight Mouse FW updates can be performed over Bluetooth or USB-C cable connections.

 

Cable Update Guide: 

• While in the Update tab, you will be notified if there is a new firmware version for your mouse.

 

 

• Using a USB-C data cable, connect your mouse to your PC.
  • When the data connection is established in The Lab, you will now be able to click "Begin Update"

 

 

• When the update is complete, you can remove the cable and connect wirelessly to the dongle to customize your mouse in The Lab app. 

 

 

 

Bluetooth Update Guide:

• While in the Update tab, you will be notified if there is a new firmware version for your mouse.

 

 

• Navigate to your Windows Bluetooth settings by clicking here.
  • Click on "Add device", then "Bluetooth".

 

 

• Next, rotate the mouse and click the connection switching button to enter one of the two Bluetooth connections.
  • Press and hold this button until the blue LED is rapidly blinking.

 

 

• Using your keyboard, tap on Tab, navigate to your mouse with the arrow keys, and tap on the Enter key to pair your mouse over Bluetooth.

 

 

• When the data connection is established in The Lab, you will now be able to click "Begin Update".

 

 

 

• When the update is complete, you can press the connection switching button to revert to your LabSpeed 2.4GHz connection (green LED) for customization.
