How to Use Daybreak Keyboard Switch Settings
The Daybreak Keyboard's magnetic switches allow you to highly customize key behavior. The switch settings can be found in The Lab app, after clicking on switch settings tab on the right panel.

Magnetic Switch Calibration
- Magnetic switches are highly sensitive to temperature changes and physical settling during transit. Calibrating your keyboard immediately establishes a perfect baseline for every key.

-
- During the calibration, the keyboard will indicate calibrated keys with a green outline. For keys that are not already calibrated, hold them down until the app displays a green outline.
- Note, you cannot use your keyboard for input during this process, click "Stop Calibration" to save all calibrated switches.

Actuation Point
- The "Actuation Point" feature allows for users to customize how far down a key needs to be pressed in order to activate it. This means that some keys could be activated with a light touch, while other keys require a full press down to trigger their response.

-
- To use this feature, select the "Actuation Point" option in the Switch Settings menu, and then select the key(s) you would like to set the actuation distance for.
- Note, you can adjust actuation distance per key.
- To use this feature, select the "Actuation Point" option in the Switch Settings menu, and then select the key(s) you would like to set the actuation distance for.
- This feature can be used for various applications such as:
- Gaming: Utilize a shallow actuation point for quick movement maneuvers or ability combinations that require fast activation, and a deep activation point to avoid accidentally activating unwanted keys at random points (ultimate abilities, etc.)
- Office: Customize the keyboard depending on how lightly you type, to help typing become easier, and use deep actuation points to avoid typos if you tend to hit multiple keys.
Quick Trigger
- Utilizes magnetic sensors to dynamically reset the key mid-travel. This allows you to rapidly press the key again without waiting for it to return to its fixed actuation point.
- Continuous Trigger extends Quick Trigger capabilities across the entire physical travel of the switch. Dynamic resets remain active even if the key is lifted past your initial actuation point.

-
- Select your desired keys for Quick Trigger, adjust to your desired sensitivity, and choose whether to enable Continuous Trigger.
Dynamic Keystroke
- Dynamic Keystroke allows for a singular key to have multiple functions at different activation points.
- The Daybreak Keyboard allows for up to 4 inputs per each key: Partial Press, Full Press, Partial Release, and Full Release.

-
- To use this function, select your desired key, press Edit Key, and drag your desired commands to any of the keystroke indicators.
-
-
- You do not need to fill all the keystroke indicators, you can simply assign one command to Partial Press, and another to Partial Release.
- Create Macros in the Key Mappings menu before assigning to Dynamic Keystroke.
-
- Dynamic Keystroke has a wide variety of applications including:
- Gaming: Where movement keys can be assigned a light press to "walk" and a deep press to "run"
- Office: To create incredibly powerful Macros
Multi-Key Interactions
- The Multi-Key Interactions lets you customize how quickly pressed keys are prioritized.
- Snap Tap: Prioritizes based on time. When two paired keys are pressed, the keyboard instantly outputs whichever key was pressed last.
- Rap Tap: Prioritizes based on physical depth. When two paired keys are pressed, the keyboard dynamically compares them and instantly outputs whichever key is pushed further down.

- Use the switch to choose which optimization you want, then click on the set of keys you want to assign.
