  • Press the 2.4gHz key to connect with the USB-C dongle.

  • Hold the Bluetooth 1 key to put the keyboard into pairing mode.
  • Connect to the keyboard through your desired device's Bluetooth settings.

  • You can also pair the Bluetooth 2 mode the same way as above.

  • With a different device paired to each of the 3 connection modes, you can quickly tap between each key to control your different devices!

Your Epic Mechanical can pair to many types of devices including Mac, Windows, Android, iPadOS, and iOS. It is important to switch the keyboard's OS mode to the specific device you're using so that the commands work properly.
  • For Mac, iPadOS, and iOS, hold the "Fn" key (right of the spacebar) and press the "Q" key to switch it to MacOS mode.

  • For Windows 10 or 11, hold the "Fn" key and press the "E" key to switch it to Windows OS mode.

  • If you are using an Android phone or tablet, hold the "Fn" key and press the "W" key to switch it to Android OS mode.

To use the shortcut keys on the same row as the Function keys:

  • Hold the "Fn" key and tap the desired shortcut on the function row.
  • If you want easier access to these, hold the "Fn" key and press "Esc" (top left of keyboard).

  • Function lock is now on, and you can use the shortcut keys much faster!

The backlight brightness can be controlled through the "Fn" button with "F6" and "F7". The JLab Work app for Mac and Windows gives you many more keyboard features including time adjustment for the backlight.

  • Open the JLab Work app and click on the Epic Mini.
  • Below the keyboard you can adjust the brightness, and the time it takes for the backlight to shut off.
