How to Use LabSync With JBuds Party

LabSync lets your JBuds Party play in sync with other JLab Party speakers, including Pop Party, GO Party, and Epic Party. One speaker uses Cast mode while connected to your phone. The other speakers use Receive mode and follow it.

You do not need the JLab app. On JBuds Party, use the top volume wheel (the center control with the JLab logo) and the power button.

Cast mode

Use Cast on the speaker that stays connected to your phone.

  1. Connect JBuds Party in your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  2. Press and hold the volume wheel for about 2 seconds. JBuds Party says "LabSync" and enters Cast mode.

Receive mode

Repeat these steps on each extra Party speaker you want in the group (JBuds Party or another model).

  1. With that speaker powered off, press and hold the power button for about 8 seconds, until the light flashes blue and red.
  2. Press and hold the volume wheel for about 2 seconds. That speaker enters Receive mode and joins the Cast speaker.

When the group is connected, the casting speaker's light is blue and each receiving speaker's light is red.

Leave LabSync

  • To leave LabSync, turn the speaker off, then back on.
  • Turning off the casting speaker first also turns off the receiving speakers in the group.

Optional: JLab app

The app is not required for LabSync. Use it if you want to set left, right, or stereo, or to sync volume and lighting before you start. Speakers disconnect from the app while LabSync is on, so change those settings first.
