No App Needed for Pairing JLab Products!
You will never need to use the JLab mobile app to get your product paired to your device! While you are always welcome to use our app to configure settings and sounds to your liking, our products work out of the box fully without the need for an additional app.
Having trouble with a "-BLE" connection?
While trying to pair, you may have noticed your JLab Bluetooth Headphones or Earbuds will sometimes bring up two different connections in your phone's Bluetooth settings. One is labelled as the product's name, and an almost identical option with "-BLE" attached to the end of it. This separate connection is intended solely for communication between the JLab app and your product.
- Tap on the correct product name (without -BLE) or you may get the error message "An app is needed to use this device":

If you have paired to this connection by accident, don't worry! Here is the simple solution:
- On your phone: Tap Settings → Tap "Connections" or "Connected Devices" → Tap Bluetooth → Tap on the Gear icon next to the "-BLE" connection in your saved devices menu → Tap "Forget" or "Unpair".
- Place your JLab product back in its case (for earbuds), or hold the power button to shut off (for headphones). When they are turned back on, you should hear a "Ready to Pair" prompt (please reference: Factory Reset if you are having trouble here).

- From here, it is as simple as finding your device's name in the Bluetooth pairing menu and selecting it. If you want a more detailed guide to Bluetooth pairing, please reference: Bluetooth Pairing.
